The CUNY School of Professional Studies seeks highly-experienced practitioners as candidates for a full-time, non-tenure track position as Clinical Professor for its online BS and MS in Health Information Management degree programs. The position will start in Fall 2025. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the program and school’s strategic plan.

Responsibilities will include:

• Teaching online courses in the discipline
• Student advisement and mentoring
• Course and curriculum design and departmental semesterly quality assurance reviews
• Participation in department recruitment efforts
• Preparing for, and participating in, periodic accreditation visits
• Committee service on department, school-wide, and ad hoc committees as needed
• Organizing RHIA review sessions  

NOTE:
• Until further notice, work will be performed in a hybrid manner with 70% onsite presence.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree and a record of achievement in a profession or field of expertise related to teaching assignments. Also required is the ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution.

The preferred candidate will have:

• Master’s degree in related health field
• A current RHIA credential
• Active member of both AHIMA and State CSA
• A minimum of 5 years of professional work experience in the field of Health Information Management
• Experience with online learning in a higher education setting
• Knowledge of experiential and clinical learning experiences
• Teaching, advising and mentoring experience
• Proven experience in developing curricula and assessing learning outcomes to drive educational excellence
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

COMPENSATION

Salary commensurate with education and experience between $75,000 - $85,000.
